Fly on the Wall...paper

Wallpaper use to be very popular back in the 50s. It covered every single wall with patterns that, nowadays, could make you date the era in which that room was decorated. Most of it pretty terrible and these days no one really thinks about wallpaper...just maybe an accent wall of plain flat color. I'm here to tell you that wallpaper is back! Our collection of Marimekko wallpaper will surely change your mind about any apprehension you've had!

We've had Marimekko Wallpaper since we opened but the new catalog has come out and it is sure to make you fall in love. The new Volume 3 panels are just gorgeous. Great to accent just a piece of a wall and not the entire thing. I hope one day I become an interior designer just so I can decorate with these fun patterns. Here are a few examples of wallpapers from volumes 2 and 3. Check out Koti's facebook page for all the selection.

Those look so cool. YOu're right, wallpaper is not something most people think about to design with anymore...these are really nice. Did you have any part in designing them?

I would have loved to take part in creating these historic designs, but most of them were created in the 60s :). Marimekko still creates lovely designs, but it mostly the past designs that continue to take this company forward.
