I have been obsessed lately on introducing a new line of home ware into
Koti. You would think it would be easy when the world of design seems to be filled with so much fun stuff, but if you had read my post
Made in China, then you would know how difficult it can be to find the right line.
Price point. Quality. Where it's made.
I found this beautiful line of products called Isak! Really cute stuff, but all made in China.
I found another great Swedish line called Camilla Engdahl. Beautifully made and painted ceramics from Sweden, but all very expensive for my customers. I wouldn't exclude them for a future order because the ceramic containers would really work in Koti, but for now it is just not the right price point.
Finally I found
Donna Wilson. She is a new Scottish designer whose thesis for the University included finely knitted lambswool creatures...which sold out immediately. The lambswool items are by far some of the most peculiar and luxurious objects in her line of products.

Fortunately, since Donna Wilson has been in business since 2003, she has also added a ceramics line, tea time line, blankets, and square cushions. I am happy to tell you that these ceramics are hand made and printed in Stoke-on-Trent, England and are 100% Bone China. Prices are comparable with our current lines such as
Marimekko and
Ferm Living. And I just love her quirky style. So Welcome Donna!
